COVID-19 What This Means For African Startups
The African technology ecosystems have witnessed incredible growth over the past few years, which growth has been bolstered by corporate involvement in the form of funding and mentorship.
While the situation is still unfolding and the continent’s technology ecosystems are still adjusting to new realities, we collaborated with Nigeria-based law firm Duale Ovia and Alex Adedipe to produce this short report on how the COVID-19 Pandemic is affecting African startups.
This report summarizes the reactions of some key public and private stakeholders in South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria. Importantly, it answers key questions that startups currently raising or looking to raise capital might have.
